Chinese Mahonia Stem is the dried stem of Mahonia bealei (Fort.) Carr. or Mahonia fortunei (Lindl.) Fedde (Fam. Berberidaceae).

Action: To remove dimp-heat, quench fire, and counteract toxicity.

Indications: Acute dysentery, icteric hepatitis conjunctivitis, uclers, boils, carbuncles; toothachee due to fire in the stomach.
