Turmeric
Root-tuber is the dried root tuber of Curcuma wenyujin
Y. H. Chen et C. Ling. Curcuma longa L., Curcuma
kwangsiensis S. G. Lee et C. F. Liang, or Crucuma phaeocaulis
Val. (Fam. Zingiberaceae).
Action:
To promote the flow of qi, to eliminate
blood stasis, to calm the nerves and ease the mind, and to
increase the flow of bile.
Indications:Amenorrhea,dysmenorrhea,
distending or pricking pain in the chest and abdomen; impairm-
ent of consciousness in febrile disases, epilepsy, mania;
jaundice with dark urine.
