Tokyo Violet Herb is the dried herb of Viola yedoensis Makino (Fam. Violaceae).

Action: To remove toxic heat, reduce heat from blood and induce subsidence of swelling.

Indications: Carbuncles, boils, erysipelas and other cutaneous and subcutaneous pyogenic infections; venomous snake-bite.

Usage: For external use, appropriate quantity of the fresh herb to be pounded into paste and applied topically.
