Tokay is the dried body of Gekko gecko Linnaeus (Fam. Gakkonidae).

Action: To reinforce the function of the lung and the kidney, to relieve asthma, and to promote virility and replenish vital essence.

Indications: Dyspnea or asthma in deficienty syndrom- es; cough and hemoptysis in consumptive diseases; impotence, seminal emission.

Usage: Used in making pills powders or medicinal wines.
