Sulfur
is obtained from the natural sulfur of the natural elemental
mineral group. The drug is collected and melted to free from
foreign matter; or obtained by processing the minerals containing
sulfur.
Action:
To counteract
poisons, kill parasites and curd sores when used externally;
to reniforce yang and relax the bowels when taken orally.
Indications:
External use for scabies, favus, chronic sores and
malignant ulcers; oral administration for impotence with cold
lower extremities; asthma or constipation of deficiency-cold
type.
Usage: For
external use, appropriate quantity to be applied topically
after being ground into powder and mixed with oil; for oral
administration, being used in making pills or powder after
being processed.
