Sodium
Sulfateis a mineral of sulfates of Glauber's salts group ,
a cystalline substance obtained from a process of purification,
containing mainly hydrated sodium sulfate .
Action:
Tosoften the dry
feces, relax the bowels and purge off heat, and to remove
fire and cause subsidence of swelling.
Indications:
Constipation with retention of dry feces and abdominal
pain caused by excessive heat; appendicitis.
External use of Natrii Sulfas: Mastitis; painful swollen hemorrhoids.
