Senna Leaf is the dried leaflet of Cassia angustifolia Vahl or Cassia acutifolia Delile (Fam. Leguminosae ).

Action: To purge away heat, relax the bowels and induce diuresis.

Indications:Accumulation of heat marked by constipation and obdominal pain; edema.

Precaution: Used with caution in pregnancy.
