Pronghorn is the horn of Saiga tatarica Linnaeus
(Fam. Bovidae).
Action:
To remove heat from liver, to arrest convulsion,
to improve vision, and to remove toxic substances from blood.
Indications:
High fever with convulsion and impairment of consciousness;
eclompsia, epilepsy, mamia; headache and dizziness; redness
of the eye with corneal opacity; epidemic fibrile diseases
with eruption; carbuncle, abscess and sores.
Usage : To
be decocted alone ovr hours; to be ground with liquid or ground
into powder, taken each time.
