Pepperweed Seed or Tansymustard Seed is the dried ripe seed
of Lepidium apetalum Willd. or Descurainia
sophia (L. ) Webb ex Prantl. (Fam. Cruciferae).
Action:
To quench fire in the lung, to relieve dyspnea,
and to cause diuresis.
Indications:
Dyspnea or orthopnea, cough with profuse expectoration
and fullness sensation in the chest, accompanied by hydrothorax,
ascites and oliguria; edema in pulmonary heart disease.
