Peppermint Oil is the volatile oil obtained bysteam distillation from the fresh stem and leaf of Mentha haplocalyx Briq. (Fam. Labiatae). The oil obtained is cooled,re moved partly from menthol.

Action and Indications: Aromatic, flavouring agent, carminative. Apply to the skin or mucous membrane to give cooling feeling and to relieve pain or other uncomfortable symptoms.
