Medicine Terminalia Fruit is the dried ripe fruit of Terminalia chebula Retz. or Terminalia chebula Retz. var. tomentella Kurt. (Fam. Combretaceae).

Action: To check diarrhea and chronic cough, and to soothe the sore throat.

Indications: Protracted diarrhea with hematochezia and prolapse of the rectum; chronic cough whth sore throat and hoarseness of voice.
