Long-noded Pit Viper is the dried body of Agkistrodon acutus (Guenther) (Fam. Viperidae).

Action: To dispel wind, to remove obstruction of channels and collaterals, and to arrest spasm.

Indications: Chronic rheumatic or rheumatoid arthritis with numbness and contracture; hemiplegia in stroke; convulsion, tetanus; leprosy, scabies ringworm.

Usage : To be ground into powder and taken with water.
