Limonite is a mineral of limonite of hydroxide, containing mainly basic ferric oxide.

Action: To relieve diarrhea and arrest bleeding as on astringent.

Indications: Chronic diarrhea, chronic dysentery; abnormal uterine bleeding, morbid leukorrhea.

Usage: To be decocted or made into pills or powder; for external use; appopriate quantity to be ground into powder to be dusted on the lesion or applied after mixing with liquid.

Precaution: Used with caution in pregnancy.
