Kudzuvine Root is the dried root of Pueraria lobata (Willd.
) Ohwi or Pueraria thomsonii Benth. (Fam.
Leguminosae). The latter is often removed from the outer bark,
known as "Fenge" (Starchy Radix Puerariae).
Action:
To rlieve fever, to promote the production
of body fluid, to facilitate eruption, and to arrest diarrhea.
Indications:
Fever, headache and stiffness of the nape in exogenous
affections, thirst, diabetes, measles with inadequate eruption,
acute dysentery or diarrhea, stiff and painful nape in hypertension..
