Fortune's Drynaria Rhizome is the dried rhizome of Drynaria fortunei (Kunze) J. Sm. (Fam. Polypodiaceae).

Action: To replenish the kidney, to strengthen the bones, to promote the healing of fracture, and to relieve pain.

Indications: Deficiency syndrome of the kidney marked by back pain, tinnitus, impairment of hearing and looseness of teeth; traumatic injury, bone fracture; external use for alopecia areata, vitiligo.

Usage: Of the fresh rhizome; for external use, appropriate quantity of the fresh rhizome.
