Heron's Bill Herb or Wilford Granesbill Herb is the dried
aerial part of Erodium stephanianum Willd. or
Geranium wilfordii Maxim. ( Fam. Geraniaceae). The
former is known as ¡°ChangzuiLaoguancao¡±
£¨Laoguancao with a long mouth. Herba Erodii£©
and the latter is known as ¡°Duanzui Laoguancao¡±
£¨Laoguancao with a short mouth. Herba Geranii£©.
Action:
To remove obstruction of channels and collaterals,
relieve rheumatic conditions, and arrest diarrhea.
Indications:Rheumatic
or rheumatoid arthralgia numbness and limitation of motion;
diarrhea, dysentery.
