Cinnabar is a mineral of sulfides of cinnabar group, containing mainly mercuric sulfide.

Action: To cause sedation and to counteract toxicity.

Indications:Palpitaion, insomnia and dream-distu- rbed sleep; epilepsy, mania, infantile convulsion; blurred vision; ulcers in the mouth; painful swelling of the throat; boils and sores.

Usage: Used in making pills or powder for oral administration; appropriate quantity for external use.

Precaution: Long term administration of large doses should be avoided because of the toxicity.
