Chinese Lovage is the dried rhizome and root of Ligusticum sinense Oliv. or Ligusticum jeholense Nakai et Kitag. (Fam. Umbelliferae).

Action: To relieve pain by dispelling wind, cold and damp.

Indications: Pain at the top of the head in colds; rheumatic arthralgia.
