Centipede is the dried body of Scolopendra subspinipes mutilans L. Koch (Fam. Scolopendridae).

Action: To elieve convulsions, to combat poisons and cause subsidence of nodulation, and to remove obstruction of collaterals and alleviate pain.

Indications: Infantile convulsion, tetanus, apoplectic hemiplegia; chronic rheumatic or rheumatoid arthritis; sores, lymphadenitis, venomous snake-bite.
