Purslane Herb is the dried aerial part of Portulaca oleracea L. (Fam. Portulacaceae).

Action: To remove toxic heat, and to arrest bleeding.

Indications: Dysentery with bloody stools; boils and sores, eczema, erysipelas; snake or insect bite; hematochezia, hemorrhoidal bleeding, abnormal utering bleeding.
