Henbane Seed / Semen Hyoscyami

        Henbane Seed is the dried ripe seed of Hyoscyamus niger L. (Fam. eolanaceae).

Action: To relieve spasm and pain, and to cause tranquilization.

Indications: Gastric spasm and pain; asthma and cough; mania.

Precaution: Contraindicated in heart diseases, tachycardia, glaucoma and pregnancy.
