Fragrant Solomonseal Rhizome is the dried rhizome of Polygonatum odoratum (Mill. ) Druce (Fam. Liliaceae).

Action: To nourish yin, promote the production of body fluid, and relieve dryness syndromes.

Indications: Impairment of yin of the lung and the stomach with dry cough, dryness of the throat and thirst; diabetes caused by internal heat.
