Cutch of Black Catechu is the dried concentrated decoction prepared from the peeled branch and stem of Acacia catechu (L. ) Willd. (Fam. Leguminosae).

Action: To arrest exudation, promote the growth of new tissue, and cure wounds.

Indications: Festering wound difficult to heal up; skin diseases with watery discharge; ulcers in the mouth; tranmatic injury with pain and bleeding.

Usage: Wrapped on making decoction, used frequently for making pills or powder; appropriate quantity for external use.
