Common Burreed Tuber is the dried rhizome of Sparganium stoloniferum Buch. -Ham. (Fam. Sparganiaceae).

Action: To eliminate blood stasis with strong effect , promote the flow of qi, remove the retention of undigested food, and relieve pain.

Indications: Mass in the abdomen; amenorrhea due to blood stasis; abdominal distension and pain caused by retention fo undigested food.

Precaution: Contraindicated in pregnancy.
