Medicinal materials of Chinese Date

        Chinese Date is the dried ripe fruit of Ziziphus jujuba Mill. (Fam. Rhamnaceae).

Action: To tonify the spleen and replenish qi, to nourish blood, and to ease the mind.

Indications: Anorexia, lassitude and loose stools in deficiency syndromes of the spleen; hysteria in women.
