Constituents:
Containing alkaloids colchicine.
Actions:The drug
was effective against S180, W256, HepS (Hepatoma solid type
)and lymphosarcoma murine tumors. Colchicine inhibited cellular
mitosis. The concentration at 0.1ug/ml of colchicine affected
mitosis and inhibited cancercell.

The above herbs were ground into powder,
10 grams were taken each time, four times a day, 10 days as
a therapeutic course. The prescription was used for treatment
of 118 cases of esophageal cancer and cardiac cancer with
obstruction. The results showed that 64 cases of which were
remarkable effective, improved in 38 cases and no efficacy
in 16 cases, with a total effctive rate of 86.44%. l month
after treatment, 109 cases among them had received X-ray examination
and 102 cases revealed that the narrow esophageal tube have
been improved with varied degree, and the cancerous lesion
was decreased l to 2 cm in 29 cases, 2 to 4 cm in 35 cases,
in comparison with the rior treatment.
