Constituents:
Containing alkaloids:triptolide, tripdiolide, triptolide,etc.
Actions: The alcohol
extract of the roots of Tripterygium wilfordii Hook.f.
is effective against L1210, p388, S37, HCS and W256 murine
tumors. Studies in viro indicated that the triponine has an
inhibitory action on KB cells, the ED50 was 10-3%10-4ug/ml.
Triptolide has a killing action on FGC85 at a dose of 0.5ug/ml.
Indications:The
Radix Tripterygii wilfordii were water decocted, one dosage
15~20g divided into two times daiy, 10 days were a treatment
course and used as analgesic for the treatemnt of serious
pain of cancer patients. The prescription was used for the
treatment for 40 cases of obstinate pain of cancer patients,
and 26 cases were remarkable efficacy, 10 cases were efficacy,
inefficacy in 4 cases.
