hymenophore of Tremella fuciformis Berk. Family Tremellaceae.
Constituents:
Containing tremella polysaccharides, amino acids, DNA, co-enzyme
Q, etc.
Actions: The acid
isopolysaccharide separated from the sporphore of Tremella
fuciformis Berk could inhibit Sarcoma-180 and EAC, on mice,
the inhibitory rates were 35.4% and 42% respectvely.
Tremella polysaccharide was found
to enhance function of phagocytosis in mice and this indicated
that its anticancer action was related to its immune system.
Tremella polysaccharide could reduce
the adverse reaction of mice and dogs to cobalt-60 rays and
cyclophosphamide after radiotherapy and chemotherapy, promoting
the rehabilitation of the affected hematopoietic system.

The above herbs were grounded into powder
to made capsule for oral administration, 3 times daily, 2.5
grams each, 4 months as a therapeutic period. The drug was
used to treat 16 cases of primary hepatocarcinoma, among them
4 cases survived for over 1.5 years, 8 cases survived for
0.5 year.
