Containing indirubin, isoindigo, etc.
Actions:Indirubin
prolonged the life span of L7212 leukemia inoculated mice,
indirubin at 200mg/kg, with sc or ip, the inhibiting rates
against W256 were 47%~58%. The water extract solution of the
herb (0.5g/ml), at 0.5g/ml concentration , acted for 4 days,
the HL-60 cells were killed.
Indications:
It could be used for treatment of myeloma and leukemias. The
composite prescription "Qing Xue Tang": This herb
contains Folium Isatidis, Radix Isatidis,Radix Arnebiae, Radix
Paeoniae Rubra, Cortex Moutan, Cornu Rhinocerotis Asiatici,
Scolopendra, Realgar.
The above herbs were put together, boiled
in water, one dose a day, dividing into twice administered
orally. 23 cases of acute leukemias treatered with this composite
prescription and combined with chemotherapy. In 13 cases of
acute granulocyte leukemias , CR 2, PR 4.
