Sources:The
whole plant of Solanum dulcamara L. Family Solanaceae.
Constituents:
Containing soladulcidine, a-b-r soladulcine,solasdine, tomatidenol,
b-solamarine.
Actions: The decoction
or syrupus of the herb and Fructus Jujubae mixed at 1:1 proportion
has inhibitory actions against EAC, fusicellular solid and
ascitic sarcoma. The alcohol extract of the herb has inhibitory
effect against S180 , the efficacious component is b-solamarine.The
component has also inhibitory acition against W256. Test in
vitro, showed that the hot water extract of the herb has 100%
inhibitory action aginst JIC-26 cell line but has no action
against normal cells.
Indications:It
could be used for treatment of gastric, lung cancer, hepatocarcinmoa,
colonic carcinoma, carcinoma of bladder, etc.
(1) Composite prescription for gastric
cancer:
Herba Solani Lyrati 30g
Herba Solani Nigri 30g
Radix Saluiae Miltiorrhizae 15g
Radix Angelicae Sinensis 9g
Radix Curcumae 9g
The decoction of above herbs was taken
and combined with injection for i.v. of skin of venenum bufonis
for 10 cases of advanced gastric cancer. The clinical results
showed that the tumor size decreased was in 4 cases and in
majority of the patients, the appetite and body weight incresed,
mental state turn better, pain was easing, hiccup and vomiting
decreased.
(2)Composite prescription for Fufang
Bai She Jiu for cancer of liver, lung and stomach :
Herba Solanti Lyrati
Herba Duchesneae Indicae
Herba Solani Nigri
Radix Angelicae Sinensis
Radix Curcumae
The compound prescription (Fu Fang Bai
She Jiu) was made tinctura of above herbs and tinctura of
venenum bufonis. The prescription was used to trear 11 cases
of hepatocarcinoma, 5 cases of lung cancer and 7 case of gastric
carcinoma, the clincal results showed that effective cases
were 7, 4, 5 respectively.
