Actions: To research
the antimutagenic effect of cili juice enriched with SOD (CLJES).The
studies showed that CLJES in Ames assay obviously inhibited
the number of revertant colonies of tester strains TA-98.
TA-100. induced by 2-AF, AFB1 (with S9).The number of revertant
colonies of tester strans TA100 induced by NaN3(Without S9)
remarkably decreased too.and there was significant correlation
ship between the doses and the number of revertant colonies
of tester strains.
It was found that CLJES remarkably
decreased the micronucleus (MN)and chromosomal aberration
(CA) rates in mice induced by cyclophosphamide (CP), The CLJES
has antimutagenic effect and could protect hereditary materials
from heing damaged.
Indications:Inhibitory
effect of Cili (Rose rfoxburghii) juice on endogenous formation
of Nnitroso compound (NNC) in human was studied by measuring
urinary excretion of N-nitrososproline (NPRO), The mean 24h
NPRO excretion of 10 volunteers after ingesting 300mg sodium
nitrate and 500mg L-proline was 63.29nmol, significantly higher
than the leoel of background (20.21nmol). NPRO excretion of
volunteers reduced to 16.08nmol in consequence of taking 10ml
Cili juice (containing 75mg vitamin C) even lower than the
vitaminc 75mg administered gronp (27.59nmol). The results
showed that Cili juice could inhibit NNC formation in vivo
and might be used for used for prevention of cancers.
