Constituents:Containing
rubescensine A,B, C, D, E, oridonin and ponicidin.
Actions:Rubescensine
A at dose of 10mg/kg ip. was effective against EAC, HepA and
S108 murine tumors, their life spans were prolonged more than
100%. Part of the tumor bearing mice survived for very long
time.
Rubescensine B at dose of 10~20mg/kg,
ip. was also effective against above murine tumors and their
life spans were prolonged 100%~200% and part of the tumor
bearing mice survived for long time.
Indications:It
could be used for treatment of esophageal, cardiac, liver,
breast and lung cancers.
95 cases of esophageal and cardian cancer
patients were treated with the syrup prepartion of the herb
at 1:1 concentration, each time 20~30ml t. i. d, 2~3 months
were a course of treatment.
In syrup and tablet used group, the syrup
administered as above, tablet (4.5~5g crude herb/tab)
5~8 tabs/once, t. i. d. 2~3months were
a course of treatment.
Rubescensine A injection preparation
at dose of 75~100mg/once, solved in 500ml of 5% glucose solution
used with iv-drip/once, every other day, one course of treatment
adminiserd 3000~3500mg. The results showed that in the syrup
group, the effective rate was 26.7%, in the syrup and tablets
combined group was 27.6%, in the injection preparation group
was 31.8%, the total effective rate was 28.4%.
PN regimen (pingyangmycin 10mg im. Nitrocaphar
AT-1258 20mg iv.) 3 times/a week. administered alternatively
for 6~7 weeks (one course of treatment), combined with syrup
preparation (30ml/once, t. i. d). 84 cases of median and advanced
esophageal cancer patients have been treated, the results
showed that CR 10(11.9%), PR 16(19%), MR 33(39.3%), the total
effective rate was 70.2%. but in the PN regimen group, the
total effective rate was 32.3%.
