Sources:The
flower spica of Prunella vulgaris L. Family Labiatae.
Constituents:
Containing prunellin, urslic acid, oleanolic acid, hyperoside,
rutin ,etc.
Actions: The concentrated
decoction of the herb was effective against JTC-26, the inhibitory
rates were 50% to 70%. With a dose of 10ug/ml, for 4 days,
the water extract of the herb has a cytocidal effect to HL-60
cell line (1*10-5cell/ml,human promyelocytic leukemia cell).
The aqueous solution of the herb was taken to U14 bearing
mice, the inhibitory rate was 42.2%.
Indications:It
was used for treatment of lung, gastric, breast cancer, lymphoma,
intracranial tumor, thyroid carcinoma, etc.

Carapax Trionycis 24g
Cortex Lycii 12g
Bombyx Batryticatus 12g
Periostracum Cicadae 12g
Lumbricus (Pheretima) 12g
Radix Bupleuri 9g
Radix Gentianae 9g
Radix Isatidis 15g
Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens 2pieces
Thw decoction of the herbs was administered
to a patient suffering from multiple hemangioma of bone once
daiy for 124 days, the tumors had reduced and the patient
had recovered to work.

The decoction of above herbs was taken,
once every day divided into 2 times. The decoction combined
with chemotherapy used to treat 18 cases of leukemias, CR
was 10 cases, PR 4 cases, improvement 2 cases, ineffect 2
cases, total effective rate was 88.9%.
