Sources:The
dried germ nucleus of Poria cocos (Schw.) Wolf Family
Polyporaceae.
Constituents:Containing
pachyman, pachymaran, tumulosic acid, ergosterol, chitin,
etc.
Actions: Pachyman
administered ig. 100~300mg /kg, its inhibiting rates against
S180, EAC were 40.7%~59.4% and 45.6%~67.2%. The NK% of the
tumor bearing mice was elevated from 12.01% (in control group)
to 14.8%~15.6% (treatment group). Pachyman administered ip.5mg/kg*10,
its inhibiting rate against S180 tumor was 95%. In vitro,
the IC50 of small molecular polysaccharide was 58 ug/ml on
HL60 cell line and was enable to inducing HL-60 cancer cells
to differentiation cells. It combined with chemotherapeutic
agents, the anticancer action can be increased.
Indications:It
can be used for treatment of digestive tract and nasopharyngeal
cancers.
(1) Carboxylmethyl pachyman was used
for treatment of different kinds of malignant tumors in 70
cases, the status of the patients were improved, such as the
symptoms and appetite, the body weight increased, and the
bone marrow function was protected. In addition, the side
effects of chemotherapy were lightened and the radio enhancement
action on nasopharyngeal cancer treatment was found.
(2) The Co. prescription of the pill
preparation (Poria, Ramulus Cinnamoni, Cortex Moutan, Semen
Persicae, Radix Paeoniae Rubra each 4g) was used to treat
uterine leiomyoma for 100 cases, generally 36~200 doses of
the drug have been administered, the results showed that 46
