Sources:The
germ nucleus of Polyporus umbellatus (Pers.) Fries
Family Polyporaceae.
Constituents:Containing
ergosterol,crude protein,malic acid, biotin, polysaccharides,
polyporenic acid,etc.
Actions:The water
soluble part of ethenol extract of the herd was effective
against S180 sarcoma, the inhibiting rate was 50%~70% ,among
them 6%~7% tumors were vanished. The extract of it raised
the amount of cAMP in S180 ascite cells, increased the immune
function of the tumor bearing mice, in spleen, increased the
antibody formation cells and the phagocyto- sis of macrophages
increased as well.
Indications:
It can be used for treatment of
lung, gastric, cyst and cervical cancers.
(1) Lung cancer: the injection
preparation of the drug administered im. (deep muscle) 40mg
once daily for 14 days, then received chemotherapy, total
50 cases were treated, the symptoms improvement rate was 86.1%,
the tumor remission and stable rates were 70% and the adverse
reactions of chemotherapy were disappeared.
(2) No 757 extract of the herb
was used for treatment of various kinds of cancers of more
than 300 cases. 32 cases of primary lung cancer treated with
757,the symptoms improvement rate was 62.5%,tumor stable rate
was 25%, 30 cases of lung cancer treated with polysaccharide
capsule of the herb, the result was effective.
(3) Cyst cancer: the composite
prescription as follows:
Polyporus 30g
Semen Astragali Complanati 15g
Pseudobulbus Cremastrae seu Pleiones 15g
Herba Taxilli 30g
Herba Hedyotis Diffusae 30g
The decoction preparation was administered
orally once a day, total 53 cases were treated, the result
showed that 2 cases were CR, 33 cases PR, 11 cases MR, 7 cases
no effect, the total effective rate was 86.8%.
