Constituents:Containing
indirubin, indigo, tryptanthrin, qingdaione ,isoin- digo,laccrol,etc.
Actions: Indirubin
was effective against L7212 leukemia on mice,the inhibiting
rate at dose 500mg/kg,ig., was 23%~33%,200mg/kg*2, prolon-
ged the life span 43%, in addition, it has significant inhibiting
effect against LLC carcinoma and enhanced phagocytosis function
of macrophages in mice.
Indications:It
could be used for treatment of leukemia, myeloma and sinus
maxillaris cancer. The herb 0.9%~1.5g used orally t.i. d for
treatment of chronic granulocyte leukemia. The composite prescription
of Qing Dai Bie Jia "pill as follows:

9g/each pill , 4~6 pills/daily orally
administerd and combined with Myleran (6mg/a day, t. i. d,
po), 36 cases of chronic granulocyte leukemia have been treated,
among them 3 cases survived for 10 years, 8 cases survived
for 6~9 years, 9 cases survived for 3~5 years and 2 cases
were shorter than 3 years. Indirubin has been used for treatment
of chronic granulocyte leukemia in total 314 cases, the results
showed that 82 cases were CR (26.11%), 105 cases were MR (27.1%),
40 cases were NC (12.7%).the most effective dose was 10.43~14.16g.
