honeycomb of Polistes mandarinus Saussure Family Polistidae.
Constituents:
Containing beeswax, resin, volatile oil(honeycomb oil), protein,
Ca, Fe and moisture, etc.
Actions: It was
effective against stomach cancer cells and human liver cancers
tested with methylene blus method.
Indications:It
was used for treatment of liver, esophageal, stomach, rectal,
parotid gland, bone, mammary and cervix cancers, etc.

The prescription was used for treatment
of stomach and esophageal cancer combined with Pingxiao Pill,the
36 cases of patients suffered from stomach cancer were treated(among
them 15 cases were stage II , 21 cases were stage III ),the
average total effective rate was 64.3%; the total effective
rate of 37 cases suffered from esophageal cancer was 62.1%.

The herbs were decocted in water for
oral administration, one dose daily. It was used for treatment
of liver cancer combined with Pingxiao pill. Among 35 cases,
13 cases were stage II , 2 cases were PR, 6 cases were effective,
the effective rate was 61.5%; 22 cases were stage III , 2
cases were PR, 10cases were effective, the overall effective
rate was 54.5%.
