Sources:The
tuber of Pinellia Pedatisecta Schott Family Araceae.
Constituents:Containing
pinellin, aminoacids, b. r, -aminobutyric acid, choline, b-sitosterol,
terol, trigonelline, etc.
Actions:The diluted
alcoholic or water extract solution has anticancer actions
against s180,U 14, HCA and Hela cancer cell lines.Trigonelline
was quite effective against HCA murine tumor model.
Indications:It
could be used for treatment of cervical,cardiac and esophageal
cancers.
(1) For cervical cancer: the water extract
was made of tablets for po use and its suppository preparation
put in cervix or its bar preparation insert in to cervix.
247 cases of various stages of cervical cancer patients were
treated for more than 2 months, the results showed that CR
63, PR 84, MR 44, the total effective rate was 77.3%, in which,
the effective rates for different stages of cancers: stage
I 96.7%, stage II 74.7%,stage III 74.2%.In the 5 cases of
CR patients, the biopsy around the lesion areas (inciude lymphoglands)
provd that no residual cancer cells were found.
(2) For cardiac cancer obstruction:the fresh herb was peeled
off the cover, ground and made of pills, 2g/once put on the
root of the tongue, then swallowed, 3~4 times/a day, if the
obstruction was relieved, may continue the drug administration,
but generally don't over 30 days. 5 cases have been treated,
the results showed that PR 2, MR 3. In 30 cases of esophageal
obstruction, PR 9, MR12, NC 4, the total effective rate was
86.7%. So that the pills of the fresh herb have obstruction
remission action, to lightened painful and prolonged survival
time, the toxicity was not sever and easily to use.
