Sources:The
skin of roots of Paeonia suffruticosa Andr.(P. moutan
Sims) Family Ranunculaceae.
Constituents:
Containing paeonal, paeoniflorin, benzoyl-paeoniflorin, benzoyl-oxy-paeoniflorin
and paeonoside, etc.
Actions: The water
extract of Paeonia suffruticosa Ander has a obvious inhibitory
action on JTC-26 cell line (human cervical carcinoma) at a
dose of 500ug/ml. The inhibitory rate was above 90%.
Tested in vivo, it has inhibitory
action on Sarcoma-180. The inhibitory rate of the water and
alcohol extract of Paeonia suffruticosa Andr were 23% and
10.9% respectively.
Indications:
Its Compound prescription was used for for treatment of cervical
carcinoma, leukemia,carcinoma
of esophagus, pulmmary carcinoma, etc.
(1)Liu Wei Di Huang Wan:
Cortex Moutan 30g
Rhizoma Alismatis 30g
Rhizoma Dioscoreae 40g
Radix Rehmanniae Preparata 8g
Fructus Corni 40g
Poria 30g
The above herbs were ground into powder
and rolled with equal honey into pills of 10g each, two pills
each time, three times daily. The After three months, one
pill each time, tree times daily. The course of treatment
is 6 months, It was used to cure precancerosis of carcinoma
of esophagus, a obvious effect was found. The observation
of 76 cases in clinic shows that favorable action was found
for tumor prevention and treatment.

The above herbs were decocted for oral
administration, one dose divided into two portions,twice a
day. According to observation in clinic for 20 years, 502
cases of lung cancer patients have been treated with above
composite prescription, the results were proved that it has
definitely curative effect. It not only could make the symptom
disappearance or improvement and the life span extended but
also the cancer foci could be vanished, shrunk, or stabilized.
