Sources:The
shell of Ostrea gigas Thunb.Family Ostreidae.
Constituents:
Containing calcium carbonate, phosphate and sulfate (80~95%);MG,
A1,Si, ferric oxide, organic matter 1.72%, some polysaccharide
in it.
Actions: The water
extract of fresh Oyster meat and drypowder was diluted with
culture media of human nasopharyngeal carcinoma cell line
in a range of 1:100~1:800 and incubated for 15~16 hours; the
tumor cells were irradiated by 2 Gy R-ray and continuously
cultured for 56~72 hours followed by observation of cell clony
formation . The results showed that the drug solution has
significant radiosensitizing effct and the radiosensitization
rate ranged from 34.5% to 52.6%(P<0.001).
Indications:It
was used for treatment of pancreatic, intestinal, urinary
bladder cancers and malignant lymphoma, etc.

The drugs were decocted in water, one
dose decocted twice and took separately a day. It was used
orally for treatment of pancreatic cancer, the patients survival

13 cases of urinary bladder cancer, after treatment. the survival
time:2 cases were 1~3 years, 3 cases were 3~5 years, 4 cases
