Sources:The
fruits of Momordica charantia L. Family Cucurbitaceae.
Constituents:
Containing charantin, momordcine, 5-HT, amino acids, etc.
Actions: The herb
has 39.4%~68.5% and 38.9%~40% inhibiting growth rates against
S180 and H22 with 200mg/kg dose po. The protein of the herb
was able to stimulate activity of macyophage in mice, it was
able to prolong life span of tumor bearing mice after injection
of protein into the animals. Juice and alochol extract of
the herb were able to increase titer of serum blood clotting
antibody and content of serum lysozyme in mice, to enhance
phagocytic function of white blood cells in the blood.
Indications:
(1)Tablets of the herb were taken with
1 to 3 tablets each time, once daily for half to one year
to treat 14 case of esophageal cancer, thyroid adenocarcinoma,
intestinal cancer of ileocecum,carcinoma of bladder, lip cancer,
uterus adenocarcinoma that have been postoperative recurrence,
it obtainned better curative effect.
(2)The herb cooked appropriately then
taken as diet to traet 5 cases of flat wart with 60g each
time thrice daily for half month, all of the cases were effective.
