Sources:The
root skin of Magnolia officinalis Rehd. et Wils. Family
Magnoliaceae.
Constituents:
Containing magnolol iso-magnolol, tetrahydromagnolol, machilol,
magnocurarine,etc.
Actions: Test
vitro showed that the water extract of Magnolia efficnalis
Rehd. et Wils had a markedly inhibiting action on HL-60 cell
line. The methanol extract of the plant and magnolol were
found to have a notable inhibting action on dermatocancer
of mice.

prescription as follows.
Rhizoma Atractylodis 7.5g
Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis 7.5g
Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae 7.5g
Herba Polygoni Auilaris 7.5g
Fructus Hordei Germinatus 7.5g
Massa Medicata Fermentata 7.5g
Radix Glycyrrhizae 6g
Radix AucRlandiae 3g
Lignum Aquilariae Resinatum 3g
Radix et Rhizoma Rhei 15g
Rhizoma Zingiberis Recens 12g
The prescription was taken with decoction
one dose a day and combined with chemotherapy and Si Jun Zi
Tang.
The results showed that 3 cases of gastric
cancer were alleviated.
