Actions:The experiment
in vitro showed 0.6% infusion of Slug dry powder has an inhibitory
effect on the lung cancer cells A549. The suspension of Slug
was effective against ARS (mouse ascites tumor) in dose 800,
1200, 2500mg/kg, ig; the inhibiting rate were 47.4%, 36.1%,
35%. The experime- nt results of survival time for lewis lung
cancer and tumor multiplicative time showed that the mice
mean survival time and tumor multiplicative time were 23.8+(-)ldays
and 7.76+(-)0.33 days in control group; in treatment group
(was given Slug suspension 1000, 2500mg/kg) the survival time
was 31.6+(-)1 and 32.7+(-)1.7 days (P<0.001), the multiplicative
time was 9.4+(-)0.16 and 11.3+(-)1.0 days (P<0.001) respectively.
Indications:It
can be used for treatment of lung cancers.
(1)Gaozeng reported that 23 cases of
advanved cancer patients were given the Slug and have been
followed up for 20 years; among them 5 cases were excellent
effect, 7 cases were effective, 11 cases were ineffective;
the therapeutic effect for lung cancer was better.
(2) 32 cases suffered from NSCLC treated
orally with Limax capsule (per capsule contains 3g Limax,
3 capsule once, t. i. d, for 60 days), the effective rate
was 65.6%. In single chemotherapy group, among 32 cases oF
NSCLC patients, 4 cases were PR, the average surveval time
was 115 days, the effective rate was 68.5%. In combined treatment
group (chemotherapy+Limax), among 30 cases of NSCLC patients,
25 cases were PR+MR, the median survival time was 178.4 days,
the effective rate was 76.6%. The toxic and side reactions
were least in Limax group.
