Sources:The
rhizoma of Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.Family Umbelliferae.
Constituents:
Containing tetramethylprazine, ferlic acid, 4-hydroxy-3-butylphtalide,
etc.
Actions: The herb
was effective against leukemia cells. In addition, sodium
ferulate could increased the survival rate of the mice and
does with acute radiation disease, the survival rate was elevated
30% and 42.9% respectively.

Rhizoma Chuanxiong 15g
Radix Isatidis (et Strobilanthes) 15g
Radix et Herba Rohdeae Japonicae 15g
Pericarpium Papaueris 6g
Herba Galii Teneri 45g
The above herbs were decocted for oral
administration daily. The formula was used for the treatment
of 3 cases of acute lymphacytic leukemia , acute granulocytic
leukemia in 1 case, chronic granulocytic leukemia in 1 case
and found that the formula had certain effect only on acute
lymphacytic and acute granulocytic leukemia.
