Constituents:
Containing leounrine, stachydrine, leonuridine and leonurinine,
etc.
Actions:The hot
water infusion of the herb had inhibiting effect to S180 murine
tumor, the inhibitory rate was 78%. Tests in vivo, with cultured
agar diffusion technique on mice showed that Hui Sheng Ye
(containing herba leonuri, flos carthami and rhizoma cyperri,
etc.) was effcitive against SMM- C-7721 (human hepatocarcinuma
cell), GLC human lung adenocarc- inoma cell) and Hala (human
cercinoma cell) cell lines. After administration, the cell
colony counts of Smmc-7721,GLC and Hela cancer were lowered
from 9.92+(-)2.36 to 8.56+(-)0.73 (P<0.01), 18.00+(-)4.88
to 4.78+(-)2.02 (P<0.01) and 11.00+(-)3.32 to 3.88+(-)1.64
(P<0.01)respectively, the resu- lts were similar to 5-Fu.
In addition , Hui Sheng Ye was effective against S180 murine
tumor.the drug administered to tumor bearing mice, 8g/kg and
20g/kg for 10 days, the tumor inhibiting rate were 28.4% and
53.7%- (P<0.01).
Indications:
It was used for treatment of lung, gastric, esophageal cervical
cancer hepatocarcinoma, colconic carcinoma, etc. It obtained
a better clinical that 173 cases of cancer patients administered
Hui Sheng Ye 10ml therice daily for 6 weeks (one coures of
treatment). 128 cases of lung cancer divided into 5 groups
that were single Hui Sheng Ye, Hui Sheng Ye
combining with chemotherapy, single chemotherapy ,Hui Sheng
Ye combining with radiotherapy and single radiotherapy group.
The effective rates of 5 groups were 20.5% (8/39), 40% (14/35),
13% (3/12), 57.1% (8/14) and 35.3%(6/17) respectively. 45
cases of hepatocarcinoma divided into 3 groups that were single
Hui Sheng Ye ,Hui Sheng Ye combining with chemotherapy (MMC+5-Fu)
and single chemotherapy group. The clinical results showed
that the effective rates were 68.2% (15/22), 53.8% (3/17)
and 10.0% (1/10) respectively. The above clinical results
demonstrated that Hui Sheng Ye has a definite efficacy,has
no toxic or side effect, increased the efficacy of chemotherapy
or radiotherapy, decreased or eliminated toxic and side effect
of chemotherapy or radiotherapy, and raised the immunologic
function of the patients.
