unmature seeds of branches of Juglans regia L. Family
Juglandaceae.
Constituents:Containing
juglone, naphthoquinoe, gallic acid, tannin and volatile oil,etc.
Actions: The alcoholic
extract of unmature seeds was effective against EAC,S180 and
S37 murine tumors.
Indications:
It can be used for treatment of gastric,breast,esophageal
cancers and leukemias. For leukemia treatment:
Ramulus Juglandis Mandshuricae 60g
Herba Hedyotis Diffusae 30g
Radix Polygoni Multiflori 30g
Fructus Forsythiae 30g
Radix Arnebiae 15g
Radix Rumicis Nepalensis 15g
Put them together, mixed, water boiling,
once a day, and combined with cortisone.Total 19 cases treated
(acute granulocyte,lymphocyte,cyte, monoucleus and lymphsarcoma
with acute lymphocytic leukemias),among them 5 cases were
CR, 8 cases were PR, 6 cases were ineffective, the total remission
rate was 68.4%, the average life span was 8.84 months.
