Sources:The
roots of Isatis indigotica Fort. Family Cruciferae.
Constituents:Containing
nidirubin, indican, amino acids,adenosine,lupe- ol,lupenone,betulin,
etc.
Actions:Indirubin
at 200mg/kg*6~7 days ip., its inhibiting rate on W256 carcinoma
was 50%~58% and 47%~52%(sc.);500mg/kg ig. 23%~33%,its effective
rate on chroic granulcytic leukemia was >90%. In vitro,
50% water extract solution of the herb, at 1:80 concentration,its
inhibiting rate on Friend leukemia 3CL-8 cell line was 100%.
Indications:
It can be used for treatment of esophageal cancer
and leukem ias.Its compound prescription as follows.
Radix Isatidis 30g
Herba Euphorbiae Lunulatae 30g
Calculus Bouis Artifactus 6g
Sal Ammoniaci 3g
Radix Clematidis 60g
Rhizoma Arisaematis Preparata 9g
The above herbs were mixed and made into
dry powder of extract,used orally 1.5g/once, q.i.d., 300 cases
of advanced esophageal cancer patients were treated, the results
showed that 33 cases were CR, 53 cases were MR, 180 cases
were stable, 34 cases were NC or death; 241 cases survived
for more than 6 months, 22 cases survived for more than 1
year, 21 cases survived more than 2 years, 11 cases survived
for more than 3 years, 3 cases for more than 4 years and 2
cases for more than 5 years. Compound prescription "Bai
Xue Tang" mainly composed with Isatis indigotica Fort.
used for treatment of acute lymphocytic leukemia 21 cases,
acute granulocytic leukemia 20 cases, acute mononucleocytic
leukemia 1 case, lymphosarcoma leukemia 3 cases. The results
showed that there were CR and PR cases as follows: acute lymphocytic
leukemia 20 cases,
acute granulocytic leukemia 16 cases, lymphosarcoma leukemia
3 cases.
