Sources:The
flower and upper part over ground of Inula britannica L.
Family Compositae.
Constituents:
Containing quercetin, isoquercetin, chlorogenic,acid, britanin,
sequiterpene lactone, sterol, etc.
Actions:5 g/ml
water extract of the herb in vitro test for 3 days exhibited
cytocidal effect against HL-60 cells line. The herb has also
inhibitory action against Hela cells.
Indications:It
was used for trearmen of cancer of digestive tract and lung.
Above 10% injectio of the herb was administrated
with 2mg/kg by arterial perfusion to treat 10 cases of lung
cancer. The clinical result showed that 2 cases were PR and
the other cases were stable.

Caulis Bambusae in 9g
Taeniam Preparata
Haematitum Preparata 30g

Decoction of the herbs was taken divided
into 2 times, once daily to treat 27 cases of advanced gastric
carcinoma , the patients survived for more than 0.5, 1, 2
and 3 years were 14, 5 4 and 4 cases respectively.
