Sources:The
whole plant of Hedyotis diffusa wild. Family Rubiaceae.
Constituents:Containing
coumarin, triterpenes, polysaccharides, etc.
Actions:In vitro,it
was effective against acute lymphocyte, granuloyte, mononucleoyte
and chronic granulocyte leukemia cancer cells. Triterpenes
have anticancer action against Lio-1, U14, HepS, and S180
murine tumors, coumarins have anticancer actions against U14,
S180 and HepS tumor models. Polysaccharides have anticancer
actions against Lio-1,ESC muri- ne tumors.
Indications:
It could be used for treatment of digestive tract
and lymphosy- stem cancers.
The composite prescription:
Herba Hedyotis diffusae 50g
Rhizoma Imperatae 50g
Semen Coicis 20g
Asccharides 60g
Put in 100ml water, boiled for 2 hrs,
filterde and in the residue adding water boiled for l hr,
then filtered again, combined the above twice filtratins,adding
sacharide, sturing, making solution, at last put distilled
water to 100ml, after meal, administered orally, 10ml/once,
t.i.d. 81 cases of gastric cancer patients were treated with
the composite prescription. The results showed that CR 15,
PR 7, MR 39, the total effective was 75.3%. 3 rectum cancer
patients were treated with the prescription, the result showed
that CR 1, PR 1, MR 1.
