Sources:The
root of Glehnia littoralis Fr. Schmidt ex Miq. Family
Umbelliferae.
Constituents:
Containing imperatorin, bergaptene, alkloids, volatile oil,
etc.
Actions: The alcohol
extract of herb could decrease the temperature both in normal
and feverish rabbits induced by typhi vaccine. In addition,
the experiment exhibited that the drug had an analgesic action
on rabbit. It indicated that the herb might be benefit on
carcinous pain and carcinous fever.

The above herbs could be increased or
decreased according to the symptoms and were taken with decoction,
twice daily.
The prescription was used for treatment
of 147 cases in deficiency of Yin type advanced pulmonary
carcinoma. The results showed that 63 cases survived for over
1 years (42.9%), the survival rates of 2 years, 3 years and
5 years were 12.4% , 2.5% and 1.7% respectively and 1 case
among them had been survived for 10 years.
